Terms of Hire

The below set out terms and conditions form a part of the rental agreement (“contract to hire”) between Western Caravan Hire Pty. Ltd which is identified here as (“our, we, us") and the hirer is identified as (“driver, hirer, you“) to hire a caravan or camper trailer as identified in the rental agreement.

Hire Conditions:

The Hirer/Driver

• The driver/hirer of the towing vehicle should possess at least a currently valid unrestricted ‘C’ class license and should have held the license for at least the last 4 years. A photo copy of the drivers license of the driver/hirer may be taken during the signing of the rental agreement.
• The driver/hirer has to be of a minimum of 25 years of age.
• The towing vehicle should have a current valid registration and a comprehensive insurance for the term of the contract.
• With the caravan/camper trailer attached the towing vehicle should not be driven by anyone other than the driver/s registered with us as authorised driver/s.
• The hirer/driver should not sub-let the caravan to any other party.
• The hirer shall be responsible for any traffic infringement charges/notices/fines etc. incurred during the period of the hire.
• The drivers/hirer should comply will all the traffic rules and regulations at all times. In case of failure to adhere to these rules and regulations the driver/hirer shall bear the complete responsibility of his/her actions.
• The hirer must ensure that the towing vehicle is capable of towing the caravan safely and the weight of the caravan is not exceeding the towing capacity of the vehicle and also the towing equipment.

Payment Terms/Charges

• A deposit of 30% of the value of the contract price is payable by the hirer to secure the booking of the caravan. The deposit is payable at the time of booking and can be paid by most major credit cards. The remainder of the hire contract price including the security deposit is payable in full prior to the collection/delivery of the caravan.
